USA Patch Update

Hi,

Firstly let me apologise for the inconvenience caused by the problems with Ferrari Challenge, As soon as we had discovered the issues we put maximum effort in to correcting them and providing a patch to System 3 and Activision.

Unfortunately we are only the developer and have no control over the release of the patch. In the US this is down to Activision and Sony and is totally beyond our control.

We are in daily contact with Activision and likewise they are in touch with Sony. Together we are doing everything possible to get the patch deployed to our customers as soon as possible.

As soon as we have any further information we shall publish details here.

We have been told that the Patch is now out of the queue and is being Q/A'd by Sony. Unfortunately they are unable to give us a confirmed deployment date yet but it shouldn't be much longer.

We have been given a provisional date for the patch to be deployed which is 10-27-08 5 PM GMT. I must stress this is not a confirmed date and is dependant on several factors particularly the patch being approved by Sony US.

The latest news is that the patch is still in test at Sony and should be out any day now.... Still no firm date though. Sorry about the lack or clarity.

Unfortunately the US patch has failed Sony testing. There was 1 must fix issue found and Sony has declared we cannot go ahead with the deployment until this is put right. We are aiming to re-submit the patch sometime next week.

Let me take this opportunity to apologise to everyone who have been waiting for the update and assure you we are doing everything possible to rectify the situation and have the patch distributed ASAP.

The patch will be re-submitted to Activision this week. We have corrected the issue that Sony objected to and are in the process of testing it.

It will then be down to Activision as to when they send the patch to Sony. It took approximately 2 months for it to go through both Activision and Sony the first time and I sincerely hope things will be a lot quicker this time.

I must stress the timescale is completely beyond the control of both Eutechnyx and System 3. We can only apologise for the delay and the frustration caused.

Activision have submitted the patch to Sony US. It should take approximately 10 days to clear testing.

The US patch has been approved by SCEA. We are just waiting for a deployment date although I expect this to be imminent.
