Come on SONY has alot going on right now, SOCOM servers, HOME, LBP , I seriously doubt getting a date from them is the easiest thing to do. As for selling your game go ahead, they already got your $. Another week isnt going to kill anybody, I too would like the update but at the same time atleast these guys are nice enough to post info.

the releasers are paying money for a license to release the game on the ps3. now becuase they pay money they can expect service. regarding the week. are you serious we are waiting for month now. we had a couple of another weeks already.

I got US version, No I don't work for either. Not trying to start trouble either. IMO nothing is going to come of statements like "I'm putting my copy on ebay". Ive been waiting since release just like the rest of you. The sad part is the game really didnt sell well here and I would rather be patient about it rather than make threats about selling the game. I honestly like the fact this site is here and appriciate the info being provided. Although I can see how you would'nt think I was American by my niceness.. LOL

Hi,

The patch is in the testing queue at Sony US. As soon as we have a deployment date it will be posted here.

Sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience.

Thanks for the update.

Hi,

We have been told that the Patch is now out of the queue and is being Q/A'd by Sony. Unfortunately they are unable to give us a confirmed deployment date yet but it shouldn't be much longer.

Thank you for you patience.

sorry for foul language. the problem is just passing dates. we waited a couple times already and it always got delayed. maybe it would be good to let us know something about the patch history. didn't you meet sony's quality and had to redo stuff on the patch or is activision delaying or is it stuck at sony. if it was stuck with sony remember that you are sony's customer not only us. the have to give you a date at least an around date. imagine you work in a company and your suppliers aren't able to give you any info. last time you would have done business with them. i understand the problem with big comapanies (in my job i made my own expiriences) i know that they think that they can treat everybody like they want bcs they know that if fc2 is 360 exclusive it is not going to kill their system sales. please don't do like sony then and treat your customers good. give us more info on what is being done with the patch and keep annoying sony with calls for a release date as shound't be much longer is no good info either.

I was about to comment that I'm as frustrated as everybody else in regards to the patch delays.  But reading some of the ridiculous posts on here, clearly I'm no where near as angry as some of you.  What a bunch of drama queens.   Cheesy  You guys need to chill.  And I'm sorry to say, but most of you have little to no idea how this process works.

The fact that consol games even allow for patches is somewhat of a double edge sword.  And the real issue is that many games, including FC, were likely rushed out the door with bugs clearly evident.  It's not an acceptable situation.  But it happens because the developers are under tremendous financial and marketing pressure to put their product on store shelves where it can start generating revenue in order to recoup the tremendous development costs.  And now that minor bugs can be corrected down the road this is likely to be a reoccurring model of how products are released both now and in the future.  It's been like this in the PC world forever.  But once the update is ready, patching a consol game is a much more complex process than simply posting an update to the developer's website.

Not that I'm specifically defending Eutechnyx in this situation but I for one certainly appreciate that they've been doing their best to keep us informed with actual messages and rather specific details.  They could simply post a generic message that states, 'update coming soon' like certain 'other' developers have done.  The situation, while one of their own creation, is one that is clearly out of their hands at the moment.  There's very little they can do and now and it's up to Sony.  If any of you think they can 'push' Sony, well, you can believe what you want.

yess! I agree with you:) We on the forum could be a little more positive, so maybe the creator of the game wanted to hear more from us, right Grin

man, it is totally normal that people get mad after beeing delayed over and over again. imagine you sit in an airport and your flight gets detailed five times. sorry your drama queen stuff takes it a little too far and i am totally aware of the basis of the patch progress. people like me are just waiting waiting and waiting. i had two weeks off now. next week i have to go bakc to work. i bought fc bcs trophies were released in europe already. how should i know that if it is out there it is not out in us. anyway. the games lies here untouched for two month now.

what information are you talking about. other state coming soon, right. then when it is close they tell an excact date and then it is released in fc case we went through coming soon a couple of month ago. so what you write is **** again.

To give you some background, the patch hasn't been submitted to Sony and failed, this is the first time and we don't expect any problems as it went through the European process first time. Sony decide when the patch can be submitted, mainly based on how many games they have in their system. This is the run up to Christmas so you can imagine they are quite busy. In Europe it can take up to 10 days to approve a patch and then it is deployed almost immediately. I don't believe this is any different in the US.

Please understand, if it were up to us the Patch would have been released the instant it was ready but as I’ve stated numerous times, it is out of our control. You are mistaken in your assumption that we can force Sony to do anything because we are their customer, the industry simply doesn’t work that way.

Please believe me when I say that we are as frustrated as you because we want you to be able to play the game as it was intended and as you deserve.

Once again sorry for the inconvenience and please be patient for just a few more days.

thx admin. sorry for the above language again. i wasn't aware of that being foul language. of course i belive that you would have released it immidiately and i am also aware of the xmas business. i also believe that you are frustated, too for sony letting you wait. not as we are but i believe you. you got me wrong with forcing sony to release it. what i meant is that you have a right to at least get an approx release date. also i said that i know that big companies do what they want...

thank you very much for staying in contact with me and replying to us/me angry user. i know it is not your personal fault and i also know that it is not nice dealing with frustated/ angry customers. thank you (admin) very much for doing that and let us hope that we will get the patch within the 10 days.

i hope this time you don't have to edit my post ;-)

Agreed. Hopefully the other posts don't reflect on all Americans as a whole, sadly though it does seem to be the majority.

This is Great News indeed for those in the U.S. and North America in general, but it's about time.  I have put off buying  this game since its release over here on August 26, 2008, primarily because of all of the complaints that I've read about at GameFAQs and GTPlanet.

Now, almost exactly two months after its official release, Eutechnyx 'might' have a patch approved for deployment by Sony.  I will continue to evaluate whether or not to purchase this game once the patch is actually released, and 'post US patch' feedback rolls in.  The PAL users still don't seem to be completely satisfied with the latest version, even after three patches having been applied to the European release of Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli.  I'm looking forward to a new racing sim on my PS3, and hopefully this will turn out to be it.  Only time will tell. Undecided

Yes Ferrari Challenge is a great game a online is WOW at least for me (EUR_PAL user). You fight for positions in a WOW away.
The "Ram kingdom Online GT5P" could learn from the online side of FC:TP. Like if you ram someone you go both off track and time penalty is on too. This alone makes FC:TP more enjoyable online with great clean races and fantastic fights to the finish line.

And yes we EUR_PAL users are fighting with some issues as example, the deadzone on the G25 steering wheel. That you US_users with have fixed with your patch. And we will may still have to wait some more days to have a patch to fix this.

(off-topic)
Sony at least SCEE was with some type of network issues during the 13th Oct week. That caused to same stuff only to be released over the STORE at 23th of Oct.
Civilization Revolution (had online issues and still has after 2 patchs) got its 3th patch submitted to SCEE and SCEA on the 13th Oct week. By the way of things US users will get the patch first.

Hi,
We have been given a provisional date for the patch to be deployed which is 10-27-08 5 PM GMT. I must stress this is not a confirmed date and is dependant on several factors particularly the patch being approved by Sony US.
Updates to follow...

I suppose we'll find out if the date and time are accurate in about......1 minute from now.
