This game was DOA with all of the problems that it had upon release.  Activision doesn't even list it on their website, most likely because they are embarrassed that they agreed to market this so-called 'sim racer'.  The problem these days is that run-of-the-mill developers can somehow manage to sell games for good money, even though they know that said games are not finished upon release.  This was not the case before internet access made it possible for these shoddy, fly-by-night developers to patch games after they submitted them for Beta Testing by suckers on a worldwide scale.  The system has become a joke and this 'game' is a fiasco.

They should just call it Ferarri Challenge - Prologue instead

Looking forward to the patch.  Thanks again for the status update.

Interestingly there was an interview where Capcom claims that games normally take 4 - 7 days to clear and resubmissions because of a test failure can clear within 48 hours.  Lets see how accurate that interview was Smiley.  They do state that it depends on how busy things are so it is not like those time-frames can really be depended on though.  I am sure with all the games this past month they might be a little busy.

I don't disagree on any particular point.  This is a very harsh but essentially accurate assessment of how many games are now being developed.  And this title is no exception.  But I do think it's a bit unfair to label Eutechnyx as 'fly-by-night' or 'run-of-the-mill'.  FC:TP has what I would agree are unacceptable bugs.  The replay bug I mentioned here is yet another example in a long list of embarrassing problems.  But in essence I've stuck with the title for two reasons:
1) This forum. And the openness and willingness of the developers to fix the problems and keep us informed.
2) The fact that FC:TP was really on to something.
It may not have the photo-realistic graphics or polish of a GT5P but it has one of the best driving models I've ever seen on a consol based game.  A lot of thought and work went into it.  This is not the product of a 'fly-by-night' company.

I don't have any inside knowledge of the particulars between the relationship of Eutechnyx, System3, Activision or Sony.  But I do have some basic idea of how this process works.  And from the outside looking in, there's been a lot of mistakes all around.  Do you want to tell me that Activision allegedly spent millions in advertising dollars to promote this game on Television but do not list the title on their own website because they are 'embarrassed'?  Highly doubtful.

Hi, just found this forum.
I've been reading a bunch of posts here & it's nice to have a company that solicits feedback from it's customers directly.

I hope this patch gets released soon.
I pre ordered this game & for the most part enjoyed it, I have shelved it until the patch since there will be so many changes & I'd have to start over for the trophies anyway.

Fortunately I have GT5P & Little Big Planet to keep me busy but I am anxious to get back behind the wheel of this game!

Here's hoping the patch approves and launches today.

@theoose, I have those games too, if you want you can add me to play LBP and FC after the patch, matter of fact after the patch I'll be looking for some people to play online, not been able to race online at all Sad .Side note, this game is meant to be on a big screen, I've been playing on a 20" but recently got a 32"720p, just great

The US patch has been approved by SCEA. We are just waiting for a deployment date although I expect this to be imminent.
