Ok, I'm maybe wrong, but I think PAL players and patches V1 and V2, while NTSC players just had patch V3.

Now, patch V3 has all improvements and corrections made to patches V1 and V2, but also some others not available yet for PAL players, isn't it?

If I'm right, then here's my question: when will PAL players receive a V3 PAL patch (I reckon a smaller patch than the V3 (NTSC), because we already have V1 and V2 installed) ??

I believe there were a few more issue's making the game run acceptably on NTSC witch is why they made a v3 patch for the states and not us.

Hi,

The only differnce between the 2 patches are a couple of minor bug fixes and the FFB being re-written to improve the deadzone issue. We are looking at putting together a minor patch which will fix a couple more bugs and give the European version the improved deadzone fix.

We don't have a date for this yet but we're hoping before Christmas.

Thanks for the info, "forum administrator". (are you ferraripro?)

I must say that last night I finally installed a newly bought G25 and I didn't find the "deadzone" issue to be that bad. Maybe that's because my prior (and frustrating) experience with a wheel on FC was with an old, not-supported "Driving Force", and with that wheel the steering was very touchy and the dead zone really made it almost impossible to keep the car straight. So, I went back to the pad. Now, with the G25 all things work smoother (and understeering is definitely more easy to correct with a wheel). I guess in a few days my laptimes with the G25 will be equal to what I can do with the pad, and in a few weeks they'll be better.

But of course, any improvement is very welcome. Give us PAL players that patch as a christmas present, and if you can add to it some free downloads (like the 599 already available in the NTSC game), I'll forget all my 2008 complaints about your game  Grin

Well, I don't know if any of you eutechnyx guys still visit GTPlanet (like Ferraripro used to do before these forums were opened), but you should check these threads, one started by me, the other by SimcoeAce (Biggles in that forum):

http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=112827 (in the FC subforum)

and

http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=112837 (in the GT5Prologue subforum)

Reading all posts, I would say that if you don't forget to release the V3 EU patch you could have many new FC players in a short time. So, please, I'm not even asking this for myself, I've no problems whatsoever with the (In)famous deadzone issue ... RELEASE IT BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!

Remember: The success of a game (and of the game series that follows) doesn't depend only on "moment-of-release-advertising". Word-to-mouth is crucial. SimcoeAce, with a litle help from me and others (Kneedragger, I didn't know you were a GTPlanet member, but I noticed your post there), is trying to draw the PS3 GT community attention to your game. Help us by releasing the patch soon, you'll help yourselves not only on the success of this game, but on the success of any future game you release.

one month pass and still there is no patch...

admin i am suspecious that does it that difficult to convert the us-patch into the eu-patch...

i think you have to consider the feedback of the players...look at the need for speed shift title..cause all the racers know that the blimey is inside the project, most of the players excited for the title and any little new is search deeply...try your best and give us eu-patch...and give that damn gamespot ferrari 599 please...

sorry for my english,it is not my main language..

Yea we payed 69€ in Germany and I wasn't expecting a Beta Roll Eyes.. I'm thinking about buying SCC, but the FC Support was really really disappointing, so yea .. The worst thing is, that the NTSC Patch is out, but PAL isn't .. I think whoever is responsible for this, makes a big promotion mistake for SCC.. The success of SCC is not only about the game itself, but I'm off topic right now ^^

How are you getting on with the patch?
It's been several months since the US one, and two months since your message above.

I think you can forget it.  Eutechnyx seems not working at all on it yet and for the future.
If you want the patch (like me for deadzone) it will be include in SCC  Angry

Being completely honest, we will not be releasing a patch until after SCC has mastered, but we will release it.
