I started the whole game over after the US update & it will not accept the Gamestop code for the black 599.
Was that deleted in the update or am I having another problem?
I didn't have any problem using the code on my original game start before the update.

Hi,

When you say start again, did you erase your profile?

We've tested it here and there doesn't appear to be a problem.

Entered the code at the main menu no problems. I had to enter it twice in a row though so you may need to just try again.

Well I actually started fresh under a different user name, I had been playing under GTP_TheMoose before the patch & that game save is still there, I started a totally new game under RaceVW14 & I can't get the code to work on the new game.

I think it was a North America only code.

FWIW, I must have tried to enter this code 20 times and was never able to get it to work.  It was making me bonkers.  On somebody's suggestion I tried it from my steering wheel buttons and it went through immediately.  So I don't know if it's a problem entering the code from the controller or if it only works when the controller is connected to the USB port or USB port one or I just have sloppy fingers.  But if you're using a wheel, try to enter the code that way and see if it makes a difference.

Derek, check your PMs.  But yes, it only works on the North American version of the game.

I've tried it several times on both my wheel (DFGT) & the dual shock 3 set to controller 1  & no go.

I first heard about it on another forum.  I tried to enter the code several times and when it didn't work, I figured I had fallen for the left handed wrench gag.  But I can assure you it does work.  I was told you have to be both quick and precise.  Which I tried many times to be.  The first and only time I tried it with my wheel buttons, I wouldn't say I was particularly quick or precise but it worked.  Don't give up.

Just don't be too disappointed with the F599.  It's bloody fast and sounds really nice, but too heavy to really throw around the track.

I try the code every time I start the game but next time I'll try to be quicker about it.

I just tried the code using my Logitech DFGT wheel to enter it, and it worked the first try.  And it's been updated.

up,up,down, down, left, left, right, right   for those wondering about the code. I'm not sure why you would be having problems entering the code but I had been playing and decided to unlock the car and was at the menu where you select your game mode not the main screen where you hit start. Not sure if this is where your trying to enter the code but just start the game and get to where you select single player, multiplayer, showroom etc. hope this helps.

I'm curious as to why you don't just delete the profile under your original account? Or just copy it to a usb drive then delete it, as this may very well fix your problem.

I tried that today & it still isn't working.
I can see the bar at the bottom of the page moving when I'm putting the code in but I never hear the engine rev saying the code worked.   Cry
